Biography
Reed Jacobson is a PhD Student in the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics program at the University of Minnesota. He studies bacteria and their communication, bacterial biofilms, and antibiotic resistance in bacteria. His aim is to better understand the links between bacterial communication, biofilms, and biofouling organisms such as zebra mussels, as well as to develop better treatments for antibiotic resistant bacteria.
