Ethan O’Brien (he/him) is a communications and design professional with over a decade of experience translating complex research into clear, compelling stories. As Communications Manager at the Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center, he leads efforts that connect scientists, policymakers, and the public with innovative solutions to protect Minnesota’s waters. Ethan brings expertise in digital strategy, visual design, and science communication. Recognized for his creativity and collaborative work ethic, he blends data-driven research findings with strong design sensibility to advance understanding and inspire action.

Hailing from Massachusetts, Ethan now lives in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis with his spouse and teenager. When not at work you can find him by the ocean, or thinking about the next time he'll be by the ocean.
