Biography

Dr. Donn Branstrator is a Professor of Biology at the University of Minnesota Duluth with a focus on limnology and freshwater zooplankton. His research with the Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center focuses on the impacts and colonization history of spiny water flea in Lake Mille Lacs and Lake Kabetogama, as well as an evaluation of the risk of dispersal of spiny water flea by boating equipment. He teaches courses in general ecology, lake ecology, and ethics in science, and he co-directs the Water Resources Science Graduate Program at the University of Minnesota.
