Areas of Interest
Ben has spent the last 15 years at public aquariums rearing jellyfish, coral, and native mussels. His research at the UMN focused on rearing zebra mussel larvae to facilitate new population control strategies such as gene manipulation. This project will expand algae rearing capabilities at MAISRC to provide food for zebra mussels at the facility and to examine what algal species and quantities meet their nutritional needs.
